the guided surgery process
-
We take the CBCT and IOS datasets and combine them in RealGuide.
We can virtually extract teeth if necessary, plan any digital replacements, then design the implant position and create the surgical guide.
-
We plan the implant case and upload it into the cloud for the surgeon to approve. Once approved we design and print the guides and any provisionals.
-
We export the 3D STL files and print them in house on our Sprintray 95 printers. This gives us our surgical guides and provisional restorations.
-
At the time of surgery the clinician can review the case in Realguide, check the CBCT data a d implant positions, then place the implants accurately using the printed guide
-
A 3D printed provisional restoration can then be placed to provide a soft tissue adapting custom abutment and aesthetic replacement during healing.
-
The final scan or impression is then taken at a future time which suits the clinician.
Disclaimer: The implant planning, patient consent, CBCT reporting and surgical outcomes all remain the responsibility of the referring surgeon. All implant planning cases must be reviewed and approved by the surgeon themselves.
